Residual convergence

Solver-monitor evidence that a numerical iteration has reached the declared convergence target.

Definition

Residual convergence is evaluated against solver logs, monitor fields, iteration history, declared tolerances, and physics plausibility. It is not a standalone guarantee that a simulation is valid — pair it with QoI validation.
