y+ — a near-wall resolution metric that gates turbulence-model assumptions.

Definition

Dimensionless wall distance ties turbulence-model assumptions (low-Re wall integration, wall functions, hybrid) to mesh evidence and review. A mismatched y+ is not a runtime warning — it is a pre-flight failure.
